The water consumption per passenger car produced in the EU has been reduced by 34.4% since 2005, as this interactive infographic shows.
Long-term strategies for reducing water consumption have made it possible to reduce the total amount of water used in car production by 51.4% between 2005 and 2022. This includes the increased application of recirculation technologies for the reuse of water.
