This fact sheet examines vehicle trade flows between the EU and the US, including the battery-electric car market. 

• Over a fifth of EU vehicle exports go to the US 
• Over 15% of US vehicle exports to the EU  
• 12% of EU vehicle imports come from the US 
• More than 12% of EU-made car exports to the US were battery-electric 

The US is the second-largest market for EU vehicle exports after the UK. Similarly, the EU is the US’ second-largest export market.
