Trucks: Transition to carbon-neutrality

In this one-minute video, Martin Lundstedt, Chair of ACEA’s Commercial Vehicle Board and CEO of Volvo Group, explains that the commercial vehicle industry is well on the way to climate neutrality.

“We are living through unprecedented times, with increased uncertainties affecting all citizens as well as industry sectors,” said Mr Lundstedt. “One thing is clearer than ever: that is the need to reduce dependency on fossil fuels.”

The industry is offering a growing range of low- and zero-emission vehicles. Battery-electric trucks are the first zero-emission technology on the road. They are entering the market in small numbers, but with a massive growth rate. All manufacturers have started or are in the final stages before series production. Fuel-cell electric vehicles will follow shortly, offering distinct advantages.

This video is the second in a series of three short and simple videos about trucks.
